HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR ANTHURIUM

So you received your Haus of Stems shipment and are wondering what to do with your beautiful anthuriums? You’ve come to the right place!

Please (ever so gently) remove your stems from their packaging as soon as your box arrives. Let us know immediately if there is any bruising, breakage or quality issues. Send photos and other pertinent information to orders@hausofstems.com

If your flowers seem dehydrated, they probably are. They have traveled far and wide to be with you.

To re-hydrate your stems you’re going to need to give them what we lovingly call a diva bath. A bathtub or wide, water holding container will do the trick. The important thing is that your stems should lay flat as they bathe. Check your stems. If they feel ‘flimsy’ trim them ¼” and submerge both the stem and flower completely under cool water overnight (no cooler than 60 degrees Fahrenheit).
NOTE: never put this product in a flower cooler

If, during their stay with you, your anthuriums start to dehydrate, simply trim them again and re-submerge as instructed above. This will help extend the life of the flower. With proper care, your anthurium will last two to three weeks (or even longer).

Some other important care information

We do not recommend that you use any additional preserving or enhancing sprays on our Haus of Stems anthuriums. There’s a chance that your spray could dull the Haus of Stems finish.

We do not recommend the use of any plant food to feed our anthurium. In our experience, they do better without it.

We do recommend handling your stems with care. Extreme temperatures and sunlight will shorten the lifespan of our anthuriums. Excessive manipulation of the delicate anthurium leaves can also shorten their life, and can lead to bruising and tearing.
